ATCO Australia's partnership with Nomad Two Worlds and renowned Nyoongar artist Tjyllyungoo (Lance Chadd) continued through the support of a world-first art project capturing the cultural significance of the Porongurup Ranges, one of the most sacred Indigenous sites in the south-west of Western Australia.
Titled 'Boorongurup', the collection saw the creation of 16 culturally infused contemporary works by Tjyllyungoo which continued his lifelong passion to paint the intangible, spiritual connections and interpretations of traditional Aboriginal Australia. His expressions reignite cultural pride in Aboriginal people, as well as develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal belief systems and custodianship of land care and preservation across all Australians. The Boorongurup artworks were exclusively revealed at an exhibition in November 2014 at the Perth Town Hall.
In the video below, hear from Tjyllyungoo as he talks about his journey as an artist and the passion and drive behind the Boorongurup Project.

ATCO Australia began its relationship with Nomad Two Worlds during the ‘Portrait of Diversity’ exhibition, a key cultural experience brought together during the 2011 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Perth. It featured 53 large-scale portrait photographs of Western Australians who were born in one of the 53 Commonwealth countries and were used as a base canvas for unique indigenous artworks. In 2013 the ATCO Australia-Nomad Two World Art Series delivered two exciting exhibitions featuring works by indigenous artists from Australia and across the globe. The INNOCENCE | INHIBITION | DISCOVERY collection featured Indigenous artists from North America, Haiti and Australia, with many of the pieces being shown for the first time in Australia. The exhibition ran for a week and a half in September 2013. Earlier that year Tjyllungoo was the featured artist in an exclusive exhibition entitled BELONG.The partnership with Nomad Two Worlds reflects the community commitment that ATCO Group has established around the world. One that works to build and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities and individuals, acknowledging the importance of the land and its resources to Aboriginal peoples, and respecting their cultural diversity and unique histories.
